[APBeta] Slow open/close times in Win 7 64-bit

Well,

I am having real problems with the latest beta.

AP just disappeared on me. No icon in the taskbar but AP is running. Cannot
TAB to the application. It just sits there consistently consuming 5 percent
CPU. AP was not doing anything it was sitting there with a blank plan, then
I switched to Chrome to read this thread. AP disappeared. On Win 7 64bit.
