I've essentially gotten around this by creating multiple "telescopes" in AP
for the same mount. For instance I have a:
8SCT-CGEM
80mm-CGEM
and
8SCT-NexStar
80mm-NexStar
All of the settings for a given mount are the same, but parameters change
based on what is actually connected to it. For those reasons I generally
end up creating "custom" telescope configurations. After all celestron
never sold an 80mm with the CGEM and I wouldn't expect it to be in "the
list."
