I've essentially gotten around this by creating multiple "telescopes" in AP for the same mount.  For instance I have a:<div>8SCT-CGEM</div><div>80mm-CGEM</div><div><br></div><div>and</div><div>8SCT-NexStar</div>
<div>80mm-NexStar</div><div><br></div><div>All of the settings for a given mount are the same, but parameters change based on what is actually connected to it.  For those reasons I generally end up creating "custom" telescope configurations.  After all celestron never sold an 80mm with the CGEM and I wouldn't expect it to be in "the list."</div>
