Paul,
I also experienced a long initialization under Vista. Then the program ran
very slowly for several hours using about 50% of the cpu. After that it now
displays one of three DSS image for any object that has a DSS image stored,
Abell 79, Abell 119 and Clark 24. These are also the first 3 images listed
und the ID tree in Image Manager. Looking at the DSS catalog I now have
multiple DSS images for the same object. For example it now says I have 328
identical 30' images of Abell 119. Other objects also have multiples. I feel
certain I did not fall asleep with my nose on the download button. If you
examine the Image Manager by ID you will find for example Abell listed
multiple times and a different number of stored images under each listing. I
found for example one listing for Abell 119 where I only had 4 images
stored. I eventually encountered a error and submitted an error report.

Hi Paul,
I downloaded this new version and noticed it takes about two minutes or more
to load now. The last version took less than 15 seconds.
There seems to be something wrong with the window paint code. Every time I
touch the app it repaints all the items, Latitude Longitude GMT Offset,
Local Date Local Time etc including all the visibility indicators too.
When I click on an object the app takes about 10+ seconds to highlight that
object. It seems to be running very slow to switch from the Objects tab to
the Sky tab.
It takes about four minutes to close and then about two more minutes for the
Application Quitting Save Settings window to close. I never noticed this
before in the other releases.
Running on Windows XP Media Center Edition SP3, Dell Inspiron laptop, Intel
T1300 1.66GHz 2G RAM ATI Radeon X1300 Video card
