Can't really answer this other than Paul is working on ASCOM stuff :)

Seems to be the case for me also.  Not sure when that happened, it 
certainly used to work.

I would certainly hope so.  This is how AP has worked for a very long 
time and is very useful for me.

Not seeing this.  What machine/OS are you using?



Best place to report bugs is Help -> Report a Bug...  Using this feature 
allows you (and Paul) to keep track of bugs from their discovery to 
squishydom.  Having said that, it doesn't hurt to chat about the little 
critters here either.
