[APBeta] Multiple selection in object list

I happened to notice with the "click-through" bug that multiple objects in my object list ended up selected.  So I tried shift-clicking and control-clicking in the object list, and it worked.   How cool!  When did that go in?

BTW: if the click-through is selecting multiple contiguous objects, then it must somehow think the shift key is down (even when it isn't).  I wonder if that's a clue to what's causing it?
