[APBeta] Search Facility

Hi Group,
My database is getting bigger and bigger and it is getting harder now
to find objects to insert a new observation. I would like to see
some sort of search facility to find a object in my "observed.apd"
to put a new observation in. Or is there some things like that already 
and I only have missed it, can some one point me in the right direction.
