FWIW, the Android OS supports as many touchpoints as the device can allow.  The Motorola Zoom tablet can support 10-point gestures. In my day job, I develop an Android-based phone/tablet app for young children. We put all 10 touchpoints to use in the finger painting portion of our experience.  There are also some music apps that use many touchpoints as well.
