My D/B is rather large (5.6GB) and I would prefer not to have to re-download everything. Is there any way to verify/rebuild it without destroying it?
This version of AP was compiler with the latest release of the compiler. In this release they have rewritten the database code and it has taken some work to get the bugs out. It could be that there are still bugs.
Could you download DebugView from here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896647.aspx
(it's free) and run it?
Whenever an error occurs with database access, it will write to the debug console which will show in DebugView if it's running in the background. If any error messages (apart from one about the VACUUM command) appear, let me know.
(Mac users: the debug stuff will appear in in the Console app, which is in Applications->Utilities, and which is included in every Mac OS X installation by default).
I will also look into this a bit later today.
