OK, Paul. 

The instructions from the Starbook manual state that a crossover cable 
should be used from computer to Starbook. If connecting to the router, I 
must use a straight E/net cable. I am using a desktop computer, so you 
make the call. I have both cables, but the router and computer are not 
in the same room. (Other computers belong to my college children. You 
already know I'll get no help there!)

I prefer to connect directly to the computer so that the Starbook is 
close by.
