I'll check into this. However, note that the Meade command protocol  
does not stipulate that commands _start_ with "#", only that they  
_end_ with "#". If you are sending commands, however, it's always a  
good idea to start by sending a "#" in case the the previous ending  
"#" didn't make it to the scope. The Meade controller ignores multiple  
"#"s.
