[APBeta] APv2b68 odd crashes

I've also had crashes on Windows 7 64 bit, (HP Core Duo G71 
series laptop, 4 GB RAM). When it happens, I am closing the 
app or closing a plan window.  But I haven't been able to 
get a reproducible case.
