UPDATE: I have a laptop but use a MS Wireless Photo keyboard and Wireless
Intellimouse Explorer 2.0. It occurred to me this morning to try the scroll
wheel function on the laptop touchpad. The touchpad has results similar to
Robin's.
1: Open a plan.
- touchpad works to move plan object list up/down
2: Switch to Observations tab.
- Object list responds to touchpad
- Can go back and forth between plan tab and observation tab, touchpad works
- Select an object
- Object list still responds to touchpad
3: Switch to Objects tab.
- Plan object list no longer responds to touchpad but this only happened
once, all other times (probably a dozen) it works fine
HOWEVER
1: Open a plan.
- touchpad works to move plan object list up/down
2: Switch to FOV tab.
- Display options list responds to touchpad
3: Switch to Objects tab.
- Plan object list no longer responds to touchpad AND THE PLAN IS NOW DIRTY
(REQUESTS A SAVE WHEN CLOSED)
4: Switch to Observations tab.
- Object list does not respond to touchpad
5: Switch to FOV or SKY tab.
- Display options list still responds to touchpad
Wireless Intellimouse is dead thru the entire process.

OK, think I've found an anomaly.
1: Open a plan.
- Scroll-wheel works to move plan object list up/down
2: Switch to Observations tab.
- Object list responds to scroll-wheel
- Select an object
- Object list still responds to scroll-wheel
3: Switch to Objects tab.
- Plan object list no longer responds to scroll-wheel
- All controls with vertical scroll-bars appear to be unresponsive to
scroll-wheel (including those on other tabs)
4: Minimise/restore (or switch to another app and return to) AP
- Scroll-wheel is responsive again
Step 2 is just an example. Going to the FOV tab is just as effective.
