[APBeta] Starting app with no docs open

Yes, the "standard" behavior in Windows is to open a blank document with a default name if you didn't preselect the document via clicking.

However, I rather prefer the dialogue that is presented which gives options to open selected plan, open other plan, create, plan, plan wizard, etc. It would be nice if that were made more attractive, but basically, I prefer it as an option to an empty plan document.

Subject: [APBeta] Starting app with no docs open

This refers, indirectly, to bug report: <http://www.astroplanner.net/reports/details/1000/1076.shtml
 >

Typically, on the Mac, if you open an application and you didn't (a)
double-click one or more documents, or (b) the app doesn't remember
previously opened documents, then the "standard" behaviour is to open
a blank untitled document (i.e. in the case of AstroPlanner, a blank
plan document). For various reasons in the past I did not do this.
However, there's no reason not to now.

Is Windows the same?

Currently, under these situations the Mac version opens with no
windows open (i.e. just the menu bar). In Windows I put up a dialog to
select a previously opened document or create a new one (I have to do
this, since there is no menu bar any more).

I'm leaning towards the "standard" behaviour mentioned above, but I
open the floor to discussion.

(and so saying he goes grocery shopping...)
