As a start I’ve tried the example/template script created by the Script Editor, and reproduced on page 292 of the Scripting Manual (v2.1: is there a later version?). Briefly put, I can’t get the example/template to run. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">In more detail: </div><div class="">* Opening the script editor I use the + button to create a new User Field Script. I give it the name RADec. </div><div class="">* I select the checkbox “Include in Script menu, with shortcut: None"</div><div class="">* Changing nothing I save the script. </div><div class="">* I push the “Check For Errors” button: no errors are detected. </div><div class="">* I push the “Execute” bottom. In a few moments the script terminates. </div><div class="">* Selecting my plan document I create the User-defined field RA*Dec (conforming with the ScriptParameter param field in the example/template)</div><div class="">* I save the plan document</div><div class="">* With my plan document as the active window, from menubar Edit>List Columns I add the “User: RA*Dec” column, and confirm that the RA and Dec columns are already selected. </div><div class="">* Still with the plan document as the active window use menubar Script>RADec to execute the script. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Neither the appropriate column nor the User-defined Fields RA*Dec values appear: i.e., everything was blank before executing the script, and remains blank after executing the script. I get no error messages or other diagnostics. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Any help/suggestions/advice? I’m not sufficiently familiar with scripting to know if this is “user error” or a bug that needs reporting. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Thanks, </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Sam</div><div class=""><br class=""><div class="">
