delay (sometimes up to 10 seconds) anytime a plan file is closed. Opening
a plan appears to have improved drastically during the last few beta
releases. When closing a plan, the “closing document” window
opens up immediately and then it takes several seconds before the
“save changes” window opens. This happens only on the 64-bit
system (Home Premium). The 32 bit system is almost
instantaneous. During the wait for the “save changes”
window to appear, the disk I/O flashes continuously. This is true even
for a newly created plan with nothing in it. To do the comparison, I
installed AP on Win 7 32-bit and copied all plans, preferences, etc from the
64-bit system to the 32 bit system.

remove AP from the 64-bit system, and reinstall from scratch. If the
issue goes away, I will start adding my “live” data elements one at

I would like to offer my services when you wish address the
slow plan open/close times in Windows 7 64-bit. I have both the 32-bit
and 64-bit versions of Windows 7 (Home Premium) on separate computers that are
located in the same room. I have over 40 years of computer experience
that might be of some help in the debug process. Just let me know when
and how I can be of service.
