Downloaded my copy 3rd July 2010 at 10:14. Installed today (needed
to check some stuff with b82). The splash screen and About dialogue
both tell me the new copy is b83. As a double check the b82 file
size is 15,682Kb, and the b83 file size is 16,190Kb (Windows NTFS
4Kb block size IIRC).<br>

Paul, desiring to make sure that my install of ASCOM platform and

5.5.1 update, the Takahashi driver and AP 2.0b83 is correct, I

back to the various sites and downloaded latest versions. I have

on AP 2.0b83 since July 1 (three days) and when I downloaded on

date I had to download the zipped version as the non-zipped
installer
file yielded 2.0b82 on that date. So I went back there today and
found
that the non-zipped installer still yields 2.0b82.<br>

So, I will install from the zipped file again.<br>

<pre wrap="">It would not surprise me if it's an AP bug. ASCOM is pretty stable (AFAIK). Feel free to send in as many crash reports as you can. The more info on _exactly_ what you were doing at the time of the crash helps.

The observing script does take into account moonrise, correct? If so,
then it is not taking it into account when it does it's calculations??
Wow, no summer observing, that stinks!!!!

<pre wrap="">Me too. At this time of the year (around the longest day/shortest night) the time of sunset/sunrise remains fairly constant, and then changes more and more rapidly as fall approaches. However, there do seem to be some anomalies, particularly if the specified latest-observing-time occurs before the start of the dark period (which it might do for higher latitude at midsummer). e.g. Here in Seattle (47 deg), astronomical twilight ends after midnight (making astronomy well nigh impossible during summer, and it rains for the rest of the year).
