This may not fit well into the AP theme, but you could just leave the tab headers<BR>
unboxed altogether. Simply underline, box and shade the tab headers as you point before clicking. This is definitely a Windows concept presently and may take care<BR>
of some or all of those Windows drawbacks you mentioned.<BR>
