Weird, I've actually noticed a performance increase with the latest beta.  <div><br></div><div>Starting up AP takes about 24s for me (Win 7).  Switching between tabs takes a max of 2 seconds (only FOV and Sky tab.)</div>

I don't see that here (on XP or 7). There must be something else<br>
inhibiting performance. In fact I ran 2.0b65 on Win 7 this morning and<br>
was quite impressed by it's startup time (1-2 secs).<br>

How many objects in the plan that's opening?<br>

I don't have any virus/security software running. That's often the<br>
cause. Perhaps you can temporarily disable it and see if that improves<br>
matters.<br>
