For example, from the backup of a broken laptop running b43 to my desktop running b45. I tried just copying the file, but that was a disaster. There seems to be a problem with the code that re-links observations to plans. Even if you just say the plans are no longer available, it gets into a loop asking for them, and eventually crashes. No error log file is created. (I think rather than crashing, the OS is killing it off.) This has happened on Win7 build 7100 (64-bit) and Vista Home Premium (32-bit.) It's just that I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. I'll have a look today. If I had _my_ way I'd remove the "what plan was used to make this observation" feature and the problem would go away. However, some users feel it's important.</div><div><br></div><div>While I remember, 2.0b46 (the next release) will change the Obs Database in such a fashion that it won't be usable in 2.0b45 or before.
