OK Paul, thanks. I am sending you a Drobox shared folder.
Regards,
Tim

Tim,

If you send me a copy of the “broken” folder, I will attempt to reproduce the issue here. If it’s too big, perhaps you could use Dropbox or similar.

Further to this, the repair never completes and the message comes back each time I start the program.

I have worked around it by simply renaming the Images folder and letting AP create a new one. Since all but 3 of the images are downloads from SDSS (etc) I can just re-download them. I’ve retained the ‘broken’ images folder in case it is needed for further analysis.

I think something odd is going on with images. The last few times I ran the program I’ve received a message along the lines of “Duplicate images detected… delete them?” and I’ve said “yes” to clean up.

Now today, I get a dialog titled “Repairing damaged image database”.
<image001.jpg>

It’s been going for about 20 minutes now. I don’t have _that_ many images in my database. At most, I have 3 images for each Messier object, so around 300. The rest of the program is still responsive.

Best regards,
Tim Long
