Hi Paul,
Update:-
After a few hours away from the Mac I had another try.
I selected AP and it opened. I had not updated as I originally planned.
I went back through the sequence and selected my telescope and attempted again to connect.
The same error occurred but this time it allowed me to open up the settings page.
I looked at the settings and everything looked OK so I closed everything and tried to connect again and this time it connected.
the sky map showed up it's location and slewed OK (still trying indoors) to the object selected.

I did a couple of slews and all was OK. I then tried again to abort the slew and you can hear the mount slow down for a few seconds but then it seeds up again and still continues on to the target.

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting a couple of times and it is very intermittent in if it makes a connection or not.
I have not repeated the crash again.
Is there a log file I can send you?
