Hi Paul,
no, the problem those not go away after waiting a few seconds.
What actually happens is: 
On the left site, inside the Observations Tab the highlight bar dose 
not move to the new observations, so the last observation notes 
get removed and the new ones go in there.
Sorry I can not explain it better, maybe Jeff can do that.
