[APBeta] Observation imports

I think I know what's causing this (and I'm surprised this has ever worked properly).
The workaround is (hopefully) to open Observation preferences and use the Reset Cross-References button. I'd be interested to hear if this fixes the problem.
Hopefully I'll fix this today and get a new release out.
