Hi Allen,

That's a 100% vote for 4 then :)  It's slow going due to various knee
operations I've just had and problems with the local phone system. 
Should have something fairly horrible to look at in the next month or
three.  I will be trying to generalise the code so that any number of
filters can be dealt with.
