Yes it should. Are you sure the downloads are happening, and it's not
just images that were in your cache before? Please verify this before

Well, it's actually sort of redundant, since if you choose an object
in the Object list and select the Field of View tab, the FoV chart
automatically centres itself.

Yes, I think I know what's causing that, and I can stop if from
happening.
