There is still active development on FrameMaker, but I wouldn't hold your breath on any new platforms.  It's a pity, as there aren't really any good alternatives for highly-technical documents....

Sniff. Still no sign of a Mac OS X version, I take it? I'd buy it today to write the AP V2 manuals.
