Paul --

Interesting -- I suspected those and turned each of them off -- but either once a session crashes there once it keep crashing there, or I didn't manage to turn them both off at once.  In any case, I've now tried it with a new session (turning off rotation and flip L/R before turning on images), and it does indeed work.

It's hard to know for sure until I'm actually logging some observations, but I think I'm going to find this VERY handy.
