[APBeta] Observation darkness graphic

Hi Paul:
I must have missed the discussion about the darkness graphic in the  
"Observation" menu, "Change Observation Date/Time" option, but it was  
mentioned in a recent note here.  Can you explain what the little gray  
bar at the top is with the little tick marks on it?  On some objects I  
get more than one gray bar.  Thanks!
