[APBeta] APv2b68 odd crashes

I don't think it's Snow Leopard -- I'm getting them on Windows too.

   Unhandled exception at 0x0048316c in AstroPlanner.exe: 0xC0000005:
   Access violation reading location 0x07ea9d00.
