Hi Paul,
My vote goes to option b. As to option c, if more users like the menu as
is maybe move the "submenu for
commands pertinent to the selected object" to the top of the menu.
My 2 cents,

Subject: [APBeta] Object list contextual/right-click menu
Folks,
It would seem that a recent change I made does not meet with
everyone's approval :^)

What are your preferences?
a. As it is now: Menu contains generic commands and has a submenu for
commands pertinent to the selected object (where applicable)
b. The other way round: Menu contains commands pertinent to the
selected object (where applicable), and a submenu for generic commands
c. Go back to the old One Giant Menu. d. Some other design that has
somehow escaped me.
Paul R.
