OK, I'm guessing you want to see the object notes while the  
Observation tab is active, right?

I'll ponder that. However a "workaround" would be to right-click the  
Notes field on the Objects tab and select Edit Window. This will show  
the notes for the selected object in a separate window, which will be  
visible whatever tab you're on.
